The Rocky Mountain Venom Hockey Program is built for players and coaches committed to reaching the next level. Focused on elite development, competition, and character, Venom offers year-round opportunities for growth through our Winter and Spring Seasons, currently featuring U11 Major & U13 Major male, and U13 Female divisions. With the momentum of our players and families, Venom is growing, adding new teams and expanding our impact across all levels of elite hockey.
Venom teams currently compete in the Premier Hockey League (PHL), one of Western Canada’s leading competitive development leagues, known for its high standards of play, strong organizational structure, and focus on player advancement. The PHL brings together elite programs from across the region, providing a professional and challenging environment that pushes athletes to excel. While we are proud members of the PHL, Venom continues to explore strategic expansion models, with a particular focus on growing and strengthening our female programming to create even more opportunities for elite development.
At Venom, development is deliberate. Our players train in a professional environment that emphasizes speed, skill, intelligence, and compete level, preparing them to thrive in today’s fast-paced game. Through structured on-ice instruction, video analysis, off-ice performance training, and mindset development, we help athletes grow in every aspect of their performance.
Goaltenders receive specialized training designed to strengthen technical ability, reaction time, and situational awareness. Venom’s goalie development program integrates focused position-specific instruction with live game application to ensure goaltenders progress alongside the team’s overall tempo and systems play.
Venom proudly hosts elite-level tournaments throughout the year, featuring top competition across male and female divisions in both winter and spring. These events showcase high-level play, bring together top regional talent, and reinforce our culture of performance and professionalism.
The Venom Way is built on intensity, accountability, and growth. We believe elite development isn’t just about skill, it’s about cultivating resilience, discipline, and a love for competition. Every athlete and coach in our program is expected to bring focus, effort, and character to everything they do, both on and off the ice.
