I am thrilled to announce Chad Moore as the new Head of Hockey Development for the Rocky Mountain Venom, joining us in a full-time capacity.

 

Chad brings a wealth of experience to the Venom organization, with more than a decade dedicated to coaching and player development. A proud Airdrie native and former player with both the Xtreme and Bisons, Chad has deep roots in our hockey community. His passion for giving back to the game, and to the players and families who make it thrive, drives everything he does.

 

A former Airdrie Xtreme, UFA Bison, and Airdrie Thunder standout, he was known for his leadership and playmaking ability, recording multiple 50+ point seasons in the HJHL and leading his team in playoff scoring. His path also included time with the Calgary Royals (AJHL) and at Northland College (NCAA) in the U.S., giving him valuable experience across every level of competitive hockey. That diverse background now fuels his approach to helping young athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the ice.

What we learn together and how we continue to evolve, on and off the ice, is the foundation of our shared success.”

 

Chad’s leadership, dedication, and vision will be instrumental as the Venom continues to grow, developing and inspiring the next generation of athletes within our program.

 

This new role marks an exciting step forward for the Rockey Mountain Venom. With Chad leading our hockey development full-time, we’re deepening our commitment to elite player growth, consistent coaching standards, and long-term program excellence, ensuring every athlete has the tools and support to reach their full potential.
